Bronze lost wax casting of a Combination Lock , Keep It Safe, Lock It Up , a part of MAF Designs "Ancient Technology Series", custom commissioned by Modern Art Foundry. The patina finish is traditional brown, capturing all the detail of the lock. It measures 3 by 1 ¾ by 1 3/8 inches, and weighs 12 ounces. It is cast in an edition, this one is 1/9, and foundry markings and year cast are present. Jeffrey Spring and the MAF Design team explore shapes and forms, both man made and formed by nature. Together they create works of art experiencing the instinctual and visceral sensation regarding how we feel about our surroundings.
