The safe is small enough so as it does not take up a lot of room yet large enough to be the right size for keeping the important things secure. Very secure, lots of space without being overly large. Also nice to have the key, which makes the combination code not work when in lock mode by the key. I initially thought the key overrode the combination dial and would open it, it does not, you need to know the combination to open the safe. I made the mistake of putting the combination numbers into the safe and locked it, thinking later I will remember them to use at a later time when I was not in a rush.
