SHOTLOCK 1911 Solo Vault Gun/Pistol Portable Safe With Modded Eyelet- Must See

  

The model is the Shotlock 1911 Solo Vault. This safe features a Simplex-type lock. These locks are used by banks because they are reliable and they need 3 buttons to be pressed in some order to open the safe.

It can hold one 1911 automatic comfortably or possibly 2 small revolvers if desired. I kept it in the trunk of my car when I used it so it was not exposed to any outside elements and it worked without any issues. I would rate the condition of this safe at a solid 9+ out of 10.

14 gauge military grade steel. Secures full-framed handguns up to a 1911 size (1 pistol of this size). Classic Series Lock is an all-mechanical lock with over 1,200 possible combinations.

Cable holes for locking cable (cable not provided). I've installed an eye bolt through one of the holes.

Has 2 teeth that will lock the lid closed as opposed to the usual one tooth you usually see. I've modified this safe by installing a 1/2 forged eyebolt with shoulder in one of the existing holes in the safe. I also used Grade 8 hardware to secure the eyebolt to the interior of the safe. I've added a rubber plug to the end of the hardware so that any firearms stored in the safe would be damaged by the eyebolt or the hardware (see pic).

The inside of the safe comes with a thin padding to protect your firearm from safe scratches. It also has a light scent of an air freshener that I had in there from many years ago. This safe weighs in at a hefty 7.5 lbs and will provide excellent protection for your firearm.

As a bonus I've included a card that I laminated and cable-tied to the safe that explains the 1986 Federal law covering the transportation of firearms across state lines in case you're stopped by law enforcement and need to explain that Federal law covers the legal interstate transportation of firearms. It's easily removable if you do not want it. I will include the owner's manual, the packaging it came with (a cardboard wrap around) and the original registration card that came with the safe. Grading is totally arbitrary, no matter what anyone says.
